Hallie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience in mental health therapy, specializing in trauma-focused interventions across the lifetime. With a Master of Arts in Psychology from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University, Hallie brings a solid academic foundation to her clinical practice.
Prior to her current position as part of a group practice, Hallie worked as a Primary Clinician in New Haven, Connecticut, providing individual and group therapy to young adults in a residential treatment setting for substance abuse and mental health. Previously, at the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence, in Plano Texas, Hallie offered trauma-focused therapy to children in state custody, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. She has also served at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, where she provided trauma-informed therapy to child victims of crime, developed skills groups, and trained community members on trauma and abuse awareness.
In addition to her clinical work, Hallie has a rich background in education, having served as an Associate Professor at Collin College, where she taught various psychology courses. She also has experience as an expert witness in criminal court, providing critical testimony related to trauma, child abuse, and mental health, which underscores her commitment to advocating for trauma survivors. Hallie is an active presenter, having delivered numerous workshops and talks to community members and professionals alike on topics such as trauma-informed care and effective therapeutic practices.
A certified provider in multiple therapeutic modalities—including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and PC-CARE—Hallie is committed to ongoing education and professional development. She is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. She is also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT).
Hallie is deeply committed to a trauma-informed approach to counseling, recognizing the importance of understanding and addressing the impact of trauma in healing.
